TMJ Treatment
Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD) is a common condition that limits the natural functions of the jaw, such as opening the mouth, chewing, yawing, and speaking.
TMD symptoms include: jaw pain, jaw stiffness, jaw fatigue, difficulty opening mouth, ringing of the ears, headaches, popping in the jaw, neck pain, locking jaw, and dizziness.
TMD can be caused by: bad posture habits, stress, trauma to the face or jaw, teeth misalignment, chronic jaw clenching, arthritis, and displacement of the disc located between the ball and socket of the TMJ.
Your treatment will include: posture education, manual therapy, ART, FST, and exercises that will help strengthen the muscles of the jaw and restore a more natural and pain-free motion.
